Jolly Roger Movie Review

When I saw the trailer for "300" it didn't look very interesting or different. Looked a little but like a cookie cutter epic action movie with all the war stuff and battles that really didnt pick my fancy. Then I had lunch with Adam a bit ago and he was astonished I hadn't seen it yet. He raved about it and said I had to go watch it. So I went with my wife and her parents this last Friday.

I Watched it.

Color me friggin impressed. This movie blew me out of the water. I couldn't believe it. It pulled me so much into its story I had to take a moment after the credit roll to pull myself together back to reality.

This movie is not cookie cutter. This movie is not like anything else ever made. This movie is going to change the ways movie are made & this movie is going to be remembered a few years from now as the movie that started a cinematic revolution.

The story was so powerful and so timeless and so engaging that I could not pull myself out of the world it created 5 minutes into the movie. I am not an aggressive man by nature but I got so into the emotions that were being projected on the screen that I actually started to feel a bit of a battle bloodlust halfway through the first war scene.

The imagery was amazing and so advancing to the rest of the film. Some might go see it and say it was too much of "this" or too much of "that" but I would not change any of the movies extremes at all. It all just pushed the movie into a new rank of films.

So...go to the movies, buy a ticket for 300 and then come talk to me about it cuz I'm dying to have a conversation about it with someone. OR, better yet, call me up and take me to go see it again because this is one that is worth the double-take.

"You kids and your damn rock and roll music!"

So embarrassing!

New Member of the Family!

No, we didn't get another dog. Kathy's sister, Dee, and her husband, Shane, had their first child last Thursday. They have been going through the adoption process for about a year and found a birthmother a month ago that thought they were the match for her. His name is Connor Patrick Moore, he was 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 1/2” long AND he got a photoshoot by Jonny Ri only minutes after he was born:

And so it begins...

The photography blog is a portfolio, the design blog is a portfolio, this is where my thoughts and findings will be.

If you were at the anthem show last night this might look familiar. And if you're reading Sex God this might sound look familiar.
